It seems that Kristoffer Ajer is the latest Celtic player to be attracting clubs’ attention. Tuttomeractoweb reports that Serie A side Milan are interested in signing the player.
No offer has been made to Celtic, the report goes on, but the Italian side are considering one. Milan might well make an offer for Ajer before the Italian transfer window closes on the 18th of August.
Too important to be sold

You have to think that any offer for Ajer would be quickly rejected by Celtic. He is far too important to the team to even consider selling.
He is a player that should be a mainstay of the Celtic team for years to come, perhaps even a future captain.
Ajer showed his worth in the second-half of last season in particular. It can be argued that he has been Celtic’s best defender since around January.
Showed constant consistency

No matter who he has been partnered with at centre-back he has turned in consistent performances. The same is also true of when he played at right-back earlier this season.
It wasn’t his natural position, but he fared well in the circumstances. Thankfully for Celtic, Ajer signed a four-year contract just over a year ago, so he has plenty of time left on his deal at the club.
Still, that won’t stop clubs from being interested in Ajer, so good has his recent form been for Celtic. However, the club will be well-aware that selling him at this moment in time would be a mistake. He should remain a Celtic player for years to come.
