Celtic boss Neil Lennon is set to hold a press conference on Friday ahead of Celtic’s game against St Mirren on Saturday.
No doubt there will be plenty of issues for the Hoops boss to address after yet another intriguing week for the Scottish champions, who currently sit 13 points clear at the top of the Premiership table, and in the semi-final of the Scottish Cup.
Here are three questions we would like Neil Lennon to address ahead of the St Mirren fixture:
Is it time to move on from three at the back?
The Hoops struggled with three at the back against Livingston in midweek, despite having big success with the formation when the team returned from the winter break.
However, has the Celtic manager considered a return to four at the back for domestic games, especially with the game against Rangers just over a week away, or will he stick with the formation that has brought the team plenty of success recently?
The defensive formation is one that the Hoops boss must get right going forward, and it is one that Lennon will be thinking hard about.
Where does fit again summer signing fit into side?
The return of Hatem Abd Elhamed to full fitness after a long absence seems to have gone slightly unnoticed. However, the defender was back in the squad for the 2-2 draw with Livingston, although he didn’t feature in the game.
It does beg the question though, of where does the summer signing fit into the Hoops side?
He is more than capable of playing at both centre-back and right-back, and Neil Lennon must decide, should he bring Elhamed back into the team against St Mirren, where his best position is.
He has played in both positions so far in his short Hoops career, and it will be interesting to find out which one Lennon thinks is his best.
How can Hoops get best out of up and down star?
It is fair to say that Ryan Christie has turned in some up and down performances for the Hoops since returning from his three match ban last month.
He did chip in with the winning goal against St Johnstone – although that was a tad fortunate – but he has not performed as well as he did before Christmas, where he was exceptional for the Hoops.
It would be intriguing to find out how Lennon aims to get the best out of a player who on his day is perhaps the best in Scotland.
If Christie can get back to his best, then the rest of Scottish football should be concerned.
