Some Celtic fans could find themselves at a loose end on Saturday. The Hoops aren’t playing until Sunday, when they face Motherwell. Therefore, some fans may be looking to watch some other games on Saturday.
Luckily, there is one game in the English Premier League that should interest some Celtic fans. That game is Leicester City vs Arsenal on Saturday evening.
The reason that game should appeal – it features two of the most important figures in recent Celtic history coming up against each other. Former Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers is now the Leicester manager. Meanwhile, former Hoops left-back Kieran Tierney will be representing Arsenal.
Both men were integral to Hoops success

Both men were integral to the recent success achieved by the Hoops. Rodgers transformed Celtic as manager. He led the side to an unprecedented unbeaten domestic season. Rodgers also won seven domestic trophies in a row before leaving the club.
Tierney was an exceptional young talent. He helped the Hoops win three trebles in a row. The fact that Celtic sold him for £25 million to Arsenal just shows how good a player that he was.
Now, in a turn of events few would have expected a year ago, the duo are set to meet in the English Premier League. Tierney still seems to be liked by the majority of the Celtic fans. Therefore, you would imagine that any Hoops fans watching the game will be backing his side to triumph over Rodgers’ Leicester, whose departure no doubt still rankles many of the Celtic support.
A tinge of regret

Perhaps some Celtic fans watching the game will feel a tinge of regret when Tierney and Rodgers are inevitably pictured embracing after the game.
However, football moves on. So far Celtic have managed to cope with two vitally important figures leaving the club in such a short space of time.
Still, if any Celtic fans are in need of some football to watch when the Hoops aren’t playing, more than a few will likely be interested in watching two recent Celtic legends come up against each other.
