It seems highly unlikely that Oliver Burke will be returning to Celtic on a permanent deal next season. The Birmingham Mail is reporting that the Championship side, who had no intention of selling the player, have hardened their stance since the sacking of former manager Darren Moore.
The report claims that the new manager will want to take a look at Burke when he returns to the Hawthorns next season. The report also claims that Celtic are eager to sign the player. But West Brom have no intention at this time.

A blow to fans
The news will be a blow to Celtic fans. They seem to have taken Burke to heart since he joined the club in January.

Interim Celtic boss Neil Lennon won’t be too happy with this either. He obviously rates Burke as a player. He has started the attacker in all three of the games he has been in charge of Celtic for.
A prominent role

Burke will no doubt continue to play a prominent role for the Hoops for the rest of the season. But then it looks like his time at the club will come to an end.
You never know, perhaps West Brom’s new boss will want to sell Burke in the summer, and he could return to Celtic. At the moment though, his long-term future lies away from Celtic Park.
