It has proved to be a frustrating season so far for Celtic’s Tom Rogic. Injuries have limited the player to very few appearances.

Knee injuries have limited the player to only three appearances so far this season. He has only started one game, the 5-0 Betfred Cup match against Partick Thistle, in which he scored.

However, Neil Lennon revealed before the recent game against Cluj that Rogic had another knee issue, one which eventually kept him out of the game, which Celtic won 2-0.

Sorely missed in recent defeat

Rogic was sorely missed in the recent loss to Livingston though, his guile and creativity could have helped the Hoops in a game that saw them create few chances.

The player must be frustrated about how his season has not really started. It was a boost for the Hoops when he returned to play 90 minutes against Partick Thistle. It only took one game, but he showed all his qualities with a goal and an assist.

Since then though, he has not featured for the Hoops, and missed out on the games against Cluj, where he made the bench and Livingston.

Fit player would be a bonus for the Hoops

A fit Rogic would be a real bonus for Celtic right now. Had the player been available, the Hoops might not have dropped points against Livingston.

Hopefully he returns fit after the international break. The game against Ross County is one which could suit Rogic. He would have plenty of the ball, and have a chance to run at the County defence, and have some of his trademark shots on goal.

A 90 minutes under his belt would show that the player has put his knee issues behind him. It would be a boost for the Hoops support too, as he is a committed fans favourite.

So far the season has been a frustrating one for Rogic. Hopefully it can finally be kickstarted after the international break.
