Leicester City are soon to receive a huge cash injection, and that could end up having an impact on Celtic. Brendan Rodgers’ side have agreed to sell centre-back Harry Maguire to Manchester United for a world record £80 million.
No doubt Rodgers will want to spend as much of that money as possible. A question that has to be asked is – will one of the players he wants to sign be Callum McGregor?

The Daily Record reported that Celtic told Leicester earlier this summer that the player was not for sale, after they made an enquiry about signing the midfielder.
Could that stance change if Rodgers’ side come back in with a huge bid? Celtic will not want to sell McGregor. He has been an incredibly influential player over the last few seasons for the Hoops.

However, if Leicester came in with a bid of around £20 million you imagine that Celtic would have a big decision to make.
Hopefully Celtic stick to their guns if Leicester decide to bid for the player. He is too important to the current Hoops side to be sold.
With the English transfer window closing on Thursday, we shall find out sooner than later if Leicester are still interested in McGregor. All the Celtic support will be hoping that they have moved on to new targets.
