Will Scott Sinclair make first Celtic start of the season against Ross County?

It has certainly been an interesting season to say the least for Celtic attacker Scott Sinclair. The player, who has been a vital part of the ‘treble treble’, has not started a single game for the Hoops this season. A prospect that seemed unthinkable at the start of last season.

The player even spent a large amount of time not even making the first-team squad. However, that situation has changed in recent fixtures.

Sinclair made his return to the side – with a goal – as a second-half substitute in the 5-0 Betfred Cup win over Partick Thistle.

He also made an appearance as a late substitute in the 1-1 draw against Hibs. Neil Lennon turned to Sinclair to try to win the game.

That didn’t pay off, but it showed that the player was still in the manager’s thoughts. Since then, the Hoops have lost the top spot in the league to Rangers.

They need to get back on track with a win over Ross County after the international break. Therefore, perhaps it would be a good idea to give Sinclair his first start of the season against the Dingwall side.

That would seem like a good idea. Celtic need to involve their squad to the fullest this season. If Sinclair is not going to start against Lazio in the Europa League, then he should be given a start against Ross County.

Odd that a player with fine record has been used sparingly

In a way it is odd that a player who has scored 62 goals for the Hoops in just over three seasons has used so sparingly by Celtic so far this season.

However, Neil Lennon must have had his reasons for that. However, the situation looks to have changed recently. Sinclair looks like he is back in favour. Celtic should start using him more, giving him a start in the next league game. It could prove to be a very smart decision.
