Celtic once had the chance to sign a Champions League finalist, only to reverse their decision at the eleventh hour.
The Hoops have had some top players represent the club over the years, including the likes of Henrik Larsson.
Playing at Celtic Park is also an honour with names such as Samuel Eto’o waxing lyrical about stepping out on the hallowed turf in Glasgow.
In 2011, the Bhoys had the opportunity to bring in a former Premier League star, but decided against it late on.

Bolo Zenden once had a trial at Celtic
Bolo Zenden revealed that he was once given a trial at Celtic, and was expected to sign a short-term deal.
Neil Lennon was in charge of the Hoops at the time and had given Zenden the chance to impress.
But, after telling the winger that he wanted him to return, a statement from the club revealed that he wouldn’t be joining.
Leaving him confused, Zenden told the Daily Record: “I’m puzzled. I thought I could give Celtic something just as I did in the match against St Johnstone. I was playing with young kids and that inspired me.

“After the match I had a great conversation with Alan Thompson and I also spoke with Neil Lennon. His last words to me were: ‘I’ll see you on Monday’.
Celtic knew what I wanted and it was not a ridiculous amount. I know the situation – there is not a lot of money around – and at my age, it is about playing at a high level.
“I hoped I could do this at Celtic but it is not to be and I am still not exactly sure what happened.”
Famous players who have had a trial at Celtic
Zenden isn’t the only player with a glowing CV to have had a famous Celtic trial.
Troy Parrott once went on trial with the Hoops, but a player who did go on to sign was former Arsenal invincible Freddie Ljungberg.
What is the one player you wish that Celtic had signed?
Didier Drogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic are two names that have reportedly had trials at the Bhoys, but that hasn’t been confirmed.
