Celtic start their Premier Sports campaign against Falkirk this week.
The two sides are both Scottish Premiership teams for the first time in 15 years following the visitors’ promotion to the top flight.
Brendan Rodgers is expected to make changes ahead of Celtic’s game against Falkirk ahead of a busy schedule that includes the small matter of a Champions League play-off and a Glasgow derby.
This game is also a repeat of a meeting in the same competition from last season where the two produced an epic comeback.

Celtic came from behind twice to beat Falkirk in 2024
At one point it looked like Celtic were set for giant cupset after Falkirk took the lead twice at Celtic Park.
John McGlynn’s side had a 2-1 lead going into the break after goals from Ross MacIver and Finn Yeats either side of Paulo Bernardo’s equaliser had supporters fearing the worst.
Falkirk fans were dreaming of a third cup shock but Rodgers galvanised the side and after introducing Nicolas Kuhn to the fold after the break, momentum swung.
Two goals in three minutes from Adam Idah gave the hosts the lead before Kuhn, who provided the assists for those strikes, picked up a brace too.
Celtic will hope to repeat Premier Sports Cup success again
After the win against Falkirk, the Bhoys went on to win the competition.
A convincing victory against Aberdeen in the semi-final set up a Glasgow derby clash against Rangers.
Under the lights of a rainy Hampden Park, it was penalties that decided the outcome of the game following a thrilling 3-3 draw.
While all Celtic fans will be hoping for a less stressful experience, winning the cup is another priority.
