Celtic are back in action this weekend as the Hoops face Kilmarnock at Rugby Park.
Now that the transfer window has closed, Brendan Rodgers can finally focus on the task at hand and have a squad to work with.
There could be debuts for late summer arrivals Sebastian Tounekti and Kelechi Iheanacho on Sunday, as they look to kick off their Celtic careers in style.
If they’re looking for any inspiration, there is one former Bhoy who did what they hope to do against Kilmarnock many years ago.

Ian Wright scored on Celtic debut vs Kilmarnock
Ian Wright’s Celtic days were short, but not so sweet.
He joined on a temporary deal after leaving West Ham United in October 1999 and was tasked with replacing Henrik Larsson following the legend’s long-term injury.
Replacing Larsson is borderline impossible for anyone and although Wright was a prolific goal scorer, he was in the twilight of his career.
Nonetheless, the forward made the perfect start in the green and white as he scored on his debut in a comfortable 5-1 win against Kilmarnock.
It was by no means a vintage performance, but Wright’s goal suggested that he would be a good short-term solution.
That wasn’t the case, however, as he departed when John Barnes was sacked, playing nine times and scoring three.
Ian Wright only has happy memories from his Celtic days
In fairness to Wright, his time at Celtic overlapped with a period where the side were second best.
Change was coming and, unfortunately, he was one of the first ones to go.
That’s never swayed his opinion, however, and he has still got a soft spot.
“I love Celtic, simply because of Kenny Dalglish, Danny McGrain and all that lot when I was younger, he said during an appearance on My Classic Football Shirts Warehouse Tour in 2020.
“To go there for the little time when John Barnes was manager, and it was a nightmare for him, I can’t think of anything but happy times at Celtic.
“When you met Celtic fans, as long as you wore this shirt, you were loved man. I’ve never seen love like it.”
