A teammate of Oskar Wojcik’s at Cracovia has said that he is the player that surprised him the most when he joined the club.

Wojcik is reportedly on Celtic’s radar after a failed move in January, and he could be targeted again as part of a huge summer rebuild.

A defender is one of those that will be expected to come in, and it sounds like the centre-back is the perfect fit for the Hoops.

Amir Al-Ammari surprised by Oskar Wojcik’s

Throughout the course of the season, the 22-year-old has grown in stature and become a mainstay in Cracovia’s side.

He has played 28 games in the Ekstraklasa this season, averaging a rating of 7.08 according to FotMob, making him one of the more consistent players in the team.

Cracovia teammate Amir Al-Ammari has seen this first-hand and has admitted that he has been surprised by the skill of the 6’5″ defender.

Speaking to local BeIN Sports USA in April 2026, Al Ammari said: “Oskar Wojcik is the one who has surprised me most. Already last season, I could see he had ‘extra-class’ potential, but he just hadn’t had the chance to show it regularly on the pitch yet.”

Oskar Wojcik is exactly what this Celtic team needs in the rebuild

The Hoops will undergo major surgery this summer when they rebuild the squad.

They already have plenty of experience in the side from Liam Scales and Kieran Tierney to club captain Callum McGregor, but they must also complement it with younger additions.

At 22, Wojcik has plenty of room to grow and he can easily establish himself into a top-class European defender that Celtic can choose to build around, or sell on for profit.
