It’s fair to say that Sead Haksabanovic might not don the Celtic colours again following the manner of his exit this summer.
The 24-year-old joined Championship side Stoke City on a loan deal after publicly expressing that he doesn’t feel valued at Celtic.
Now, never say never in football, but if Sead Haksabanovic plays for Brendan Rodgers again, then it would be a big surprise – Chris Sutton slammed him, at the time.
But, until then, the left-sided winger is still a Celtic player and, on Saturday, he helped Alex Neil’s Stoke City side secure a stunning comeback win at Bristol City.
After being 2-0 down inside 15 minutes, Stoke, who hadn’t won in five Championship games, were starring at yet another defeat.
That’s when Sead Haksabanovic and Co. turned on the magic and produced a stunning comeback, which included a second-half goal from Celtic’s man. It’s his first for the club.

Sead Haksabanovic produces his best performance
That display at Bristol City landed Haksabanovic a rating of ‘7.27’ from WhoScored, as he had 34 touches, provided one key pass and won one aerial battle during his 83 minutes on the pitch.
Hopefully, there will be more performances like that from the Montenegro international because it will then prompt Stoke to buy him at the end of the season.
Whilst the Potteries spent over a decade in England’s top-flight, since suffering relegation in 2018, they haven’t shown any sign of coming back with zero top-half finishes to their name in England’s second-tier.
So, if Haksabanovic wants to talk the talk on the field of play, after doing so via his social media account, then try to help Stoke to a top-six finish.
