Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou was asked about the future of striker Albian Ajeti today and whether or not he is one of the players looking for a move away from the club.
Postecoglou has been very honest about the fact there are players currently not getting game time and that if they want to seek opportunities elsewhere they can.
When asked if the Swiss striker falls into that category after his injury problems and the forwards he’s signed, Postecoglou told today’s press conference [Celtic TV]: “I’d rather not talk about players individually but if there are players who feel like they’ll get more opportunities elsewhere then we’ll help facilitate that.

“Albian is just coming back from his injury and he’s almost back with the group now. Hopefully, he’s back up and running and fit.
“The younger ones we want to actively try to find them some game time somewhere because it helps their development. Some of the more senior players who aren’t playing, it really comes down to them if they feel there are better opportunities somewhere else.”
Reading between the lines, it certainly sounds as if the ball is in Ajeti’s court on whether to make a move elsewhere.
Even after returning from injury, it seems obvious his game time will be limited due to the presence of Kyogo Furuhashi, Daizen Maeda and Giorgos Giakoumakis.
If he wants to progress his career further, it does look like he’ll have to make a switch.
Whether or not he has the desire to do that, we’ll have to wait and see, as it’s clear Postecoglou won’t be giving much away.
