Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou is still looking to bring in “one or two” more players before the end of the transfer window, if the right characters come along.
Speaking to Sky Sports at Celtic Park this afternoon, the Bhoys boss said: “We’ve done most of our business, the stuff we needed to do we’ve done, but we’ll stay active. There’s still the possibility of guys moving out.
“We’re still keen to bring maybe one or two in, but it has to be the right ones. Right now, we’re not in negotiations or in talks with any players, so anyone being linked to us is not coming from us.

“We’ll stay active and see how things go. We’re in a position where I’m really happy with the business we’ve done. The players we’ve brought in have really made our squad stronger, so it’s about the right ones now.”
Postecoglou was also asked about links to Alex Collado, and while he didn’t expressly rule it out, the fact he’s said the club are not in negotiations would appear to put that one to bed.
Nothing is imminent, clearly, but there’s certainly still hope of late deals that delight the Celtic support.
Overall I think the club have done some smart business this summer and certainly strengthened the group as a whole.
If we could find another player or two that is ready to push for consistent starts, it would turn a good window into a great one.
That’s clearly on the mind of the manager too, and we await with interest to see if anything develops before the deadline on 1st September.
