Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou is very confident the Bhoys will be completing more signings before the end of the month, in his latest update on the situation.
The manager has added five first-team signings already this summer. However, nobody has arrived since August 3rd when Joe Hart and James McCarthy were announced.
With just a couple of weeks to go until the deadline, fans are again getting a little anxious that it is taking a bit too long to complete business.
However, speaking to BBC Scotland today, Postecoglou made it clear transfer work is continuing in earnest.
Asked by reporter Kenny Macintyre if the club are close to bringing in more players, the Bhoys boss told Sportsound [14:38]: “Yeah, well I hope we’re close anyway. We are working hard.
“The window is not indefinite so time is running out. I’m very, very confident we’ll have some more players in before that happens.”

New Postecoglou signings need bringing in at Celtic as soon as possible
The way Celtic are playing right now, with high intensity and effort, coupled with the heavy schedule of the Bhoys means it’s more important than ever that Postecoglou has depth and quality available to him.
We’re still very short in a number of positions, even where currently installed players are performing well. No one would say Anthony Ralston isn’t earning his keep in the team at the moment, but he can’t play every game.
Sooner or later this will all catch up on a number of players and we need the right personnel in place to counteract that and maintain consistency in results.
No one knows this more than Postecoglou himself, who has repeatedly said this in public. So let’s hope the club can deliver what he wants over the next two weeks and we’re all reflecting on a fine transfer window.
In other news, Celtic supporters are absolutely loving the Tom Rogic resurgence.
