Ange Postecoglou has given a very interesting set of transfer comments today at Tannadice, speaking after the Celtic win over Dundee United.

Celtic have been linked with a number of J-League talents in recent weeks, with the expectation that the club will make a raft of signings quite early in the upcoming window.

Postecoglou re-iterated that commitment today and teased that Japan might not be the only Asian football market might not be the only one the club are interested in.

As quoted by The Daily Record: “Myself, Michael Nicholson, all the key people at the football club, we’re working really hard. We want to be well organised and get the right players in.

“I know what we need in terms of making our squad a bit more well rounded and robust for a challenging second half of the year. We’ll just keep working away. No deals are done yet, nothing’s been signed. I know people get excited about names and I’ve probably been linked with the whole of the J-League.

“There’s also the Korean league that is decent, if you want to go fishing there. There will be plenty of names. From my perspective, we know what we need – and I’m fairly confident we‘ll get them in and get them in early.”

Ange is being incredibly bullish about Celtic’s intent, which is really building transfer hype levels amongst the support.

There’s lots of work to do to this squad, as we’ve seen with the injury to Jota that will keep him out for a number of weeks.

If Celtic can truly add a few more players of real quality next month then there could be no stopping this Bhoys outfit.

Let’s hope the manager is a happy man at the end of January.
