The clock is ticking on Celtic because the January transfer window slams shut on Monday evening.

Even before the winter transfer window re-opened, everyone knew the areas Celtic needed to target, and so far, many of them haven’t been met.

That includes Celtic needing a right winger, with Hyunjun Yang and James Forrest the only two able players to fill that role.

But now it seems as though there could be some life for the Champions of Scotland signing a right-sided winger because the club have thrown their fishing net into Italian waters.

Where do Celtic still need to strengthen after signing Tomas Cvancara and Julian Araujo?

Celtic are in talks to sign Frosinone winger Fares Ghedjemis

The winger Celtic are seemingly pushing for is Frosinone star Fares Ghedjemis, who plays in Italy’s second-tier, and is 23 years old.

Joseph has stated on social media that talks have taken place, and Frosinone are ‘already pursuing a replacement’ for Ghedjemis.

‘Celtic are in talks over a potential deal for Frosinone winger Fares Ghedjemis,’ wrote Joseph.

‘He’s one of a number of targets Celtic are working on for the RW position.

‘Frosinone are already pursuing a replacement in Mantua’s Davide Bragantini, if Ghedjemis leaves in this window.’

How many more signings do you think Celtic need to win the title?

Ghedjemis compared to Riyad Mahrez

Nicolas Kuhn was a success at Celtic. Michel-Ange Balikwisha is struggling big time. Sebastian Tounekti is better, but underwhelming.

Then you have someone like Luis Palma, who just couldn’t get going in Glasgow and left without making a mark.

To put it simply, the Hoops have struggled out wide, but doing some research on Ghedjemis, it has been suggested that his playing style is similar to Premier League title winner, Riyad Mahrez.

He can play on both wings, but he prefers to operate on the right, which is perfect for Celtic right now.

The French winger focuses on dribbling and has had a ‘51% dribble success rate’ this season, and he has created ‘ 38 chances.’
