Brendan Rodgers still has plenty of work to do in the transfer window as the Celtic boss looks to strengthen his squad for the season ahead.
Competing in four competitions, Rodgers is keen to progress Celtic in Europe as well as continue dominating Scottish football.
With the Champions League group stages starting next month, Celtic will look to add quality to his team to compete with the cream of Europe and it seems Rodgers has cast his eye towards the Serie A in a bid to strengthen before the transfer window closes this week.
Celtic want Lazio winger Gustav Isaksen
According to a report in La Repubblica Celtic are keen on landing Danish international winger, Gustav Isaksen.
The 23-year-old attacker is currently at Lazio after joining the Serie A club last summer in a €10m plus add-ons deal from FC Midtjylland.
Valued at £12m, the report says that a loan deal with an obligation to buy has been proposed and that Celtic are considering making a move.
Isaksen made 139 appearances for Midtjylland scoring 33 goals and creating 18 assists before making the switch to Italy.

However, despite making 37 Serie A appearances last season, Isaksen scored just three goals and created four and it seems that he is now being allowed to move on a mere twelve months later.
Versatile, Midtjylland used Isaksen on both attacking flanks during his time at the Danish club as well as deploying him as a centre-forward, second striker and in the attacking midfield areas.
Celtic fans will, of course, remember Isaksen from last season’s Champions League campaign where the Dane made two appearances against Brendan Rodgers’ side for Lazio and created an assist in the 2-0 defeat in Rome.
With less than a week to go in the transfer window, Celtic still have time to strengthen their squad and it seems that Isaksen could be on Rodgers’ radar.
