Only a few days ago Fraser Forster looked like a player who was not going to play much first-team football this season. He was out of favour at Southampton. A far cry from the days when he helped Celtic defeat Barcelona.
However, in the last few days it has all changed for Forster. He has completed a return to Celtic on a loan deal for the rest of the season.
The player himself has admitted that he is delighted to return to the club.
“I absolutely love it”
“I absolutely love it and I’m buzzing to be back home” he told the official Celtic Twitter account.
🗣️ FF: "I was just looking at the numbers and what was available and that was the one that stood out to me. I know what it means to the fans and the club, and represents what the club means to me as well. I absolutely love it and I’m buzzing to be back home." #LaGranMuralla

Forster has not played much football in the past year. However, Neil Lennon knows the player very well from his first spell as Celtic boss.
Lennon must feel that Forster will be able to recapture the form he displayed during his first spell at Celtic Park.
Decision to bring player back makes sense
With Scott Bain out for up to a month, it does make sense for Celtic to bring in such an experienced player to come in to the squad.
Indeed, should Forster regain his place in the Hoops team and have a good season, the demand will be there for Celtic to make the deal permanent.
Forster certainly seems delighted to be back in Glasgow, so that could be something that he is in favour of. Only time will tell, but the decision to bring back Forster seems to be a good one.
