Celtic are among ‘enquiries’ from Scotland and England for Dinamo Zagreb’s Scott McKenna, according to a report.
The Scotland defender is enjoying a stellar debut season in Croatia, where he moved last year after a season at Las Palmas.
The Hoops may not have a permanent manager as it stands, but this hasn’t stopped them from being linked with players across the globe.
And according to Croatian outlet Germanijak, Celtic are among the enquiries for McKenna, for whom something is ‘brewing’ in the summer.

Dinamo Zagreb’s stance on sale of Celtic-linked Scott McKenna
After the January window, Dinamo chief scout Tomislav Sokota claimed that the club had rejected “serious offers” in the region of £10 million for McKenna.
This certainly seems steep for a 29-year-old playing in Croatia.

The above report also mentions that Dinamo are already bracing for his exit, with Stjepan Radeljic of Rijeka among the candidates to replace him.
Celtic have been linked with McKenna before, on numerous occasions. They were first linked during Brendan Rodgers’ first spell, after the defender’s breakthrough season at Aberdeen.
Five years later, with McKenna at Nottingham Forest, Rodgers was linked with bringing him to Glasgow again.
Having dropped out of Forest’s starting XI amid their post-promotion spending spree, he moved on loan to Copenhagen in 2024, featuring in the knockout stages of the Champions League.
This earned him the move to La Liga, where he played with ex-Scotland teammate Oli McBurnie but only lasted a year.
Now with the Croatian league leaders, he is staking a claim to add to his 49 Scotland caps at this summer’s World Cup.

Scott McKenna is a Celtic supporter
McKenna confirmed his allegiance to Glasgow World in 2024, saying: “My dad was a Celtic season-ticket holder.
“I went to a few Celtic games around the time when they were doing well in Europe. I remember being there when Alan Thompson scored [against] Barcelona.
“I used to love going to a midweek game at Parkhead under the lights.”
By the sound of it, he certainly wouldn’t be against a move to Glasgow.
