Celtic are considering signing second Norwich City talent as Adam Idah deal nears

Brendan Rodgers now seems to be ramping up Celtic’s transfer activity as he is set to make his fourth summer signing this week.

Adam Idah looks set to join the Scottish champions after Celtic and Norwich agreed on a £9.5m fee last night and upon completion of a medical, the Republic of Ireland international will become a permanent Bhoy.

With Viljami Sinisalo, Kasper Schmeichel and Paulo Bernardo already at the club, it seems that Rodgers is looking to Norwich City again to capture another young talent from the English Championship club.

Celtic ‘monitoring’ Norwich City’s Abu Kamara

Journalist, Pete O’Rourke, has claimed on his social media channel, X, that Celtic are looking at 21-year-old winger, Abu Kamara:

The youngster has made just four first-team appearances for The Canaries after working his way through the academy where he joined at the age of ten.

He made his debut in 2023 after coming on as a substitute for Teemu Pukki in a 1-0 defeat to Sheffield United.

Kamara joined Portsmouth on loan last season where he made 52 appearances for the League One side scoring ten goals and creating eleven assists helping Pompey win the league and gain promotion to the English Championship.

If Celtic are looking to make Kamara a Bhoy, they face competition from the likes of Hull City, Stoke, Leicester and Southampton. [The News]

Abu Kamara for Celtic?

With Celtic looking to add at least another striker to the ranks, Kamara could be one that Rodgers looks to develop as one for the future.

Versatile, Kamara can play on both attacking flanks and has been deployed as an attacking midfielder in his short career so far. He also has two caps for England U20s.

Speaking about his role at Norwich, Kamara has previously said, “When I joined the club, I was originally a left-winger and floating around left-winger and left-back. I went to the number ten role and ended up as a striker now.

“I’d say that I’m a willing runner and a team player. I try to score with all the chances I’m presented, but it’s not always the case!” [Norwich City FC]
