Ange Postecoglou is looking to add a couple of players to his Celtic squad and they could arrive within the next week.
The Celtic boss has already signed up Jota, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Alexandro Bernabei and Ben Siegrist this summer.
Now it looks like we’re approaching the next phase of his transfer work.

Speaking after today’s game at Celtic Park, he told The Glasgow Times: “We’re definitely going to add a couple of players.
“We’re working on that but would expect to do that in the next seven days. We had to be patient and that was much more important than rushing. I’m confident we’re close to the end point in bringing in a couple which will help.
“The squad is looking really good but on days like today we want to make sure we don’t lose our effectiveness when a couple are missing.”
It’s an exciting update for supporters who recognise that the squad does need more quality added to truly compete on multiple fronts next season.
As Postecoglou alludes to, even today there were a couple of players missing in Reo Hatate and Giorgos Giakoumakis, limiting the manager’s options in that second half.
The Bhoys have been widely predicted to be in the market for another defender and a midfielder this summer, with the possibility of another attacker arriving too.
Named targets have been few and far between over the last week or so. It’s a bit of a mystery exactly who the club are targeting but we could be in line for an exciting seven days here.
