Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers is likely to make alterations to his squad in the summer transfer window to trim excess fat from what has become a bloated group.
The 51-year-old already moved to ship out several fringe players in January to try and reduce numbers on the books, with the likes of David Turnbull, Mikey Johnston and Yosuke Ideguchi departing in some form.
In all likelihood, Rodgers will be keen to continue this trend once the window re-opens and had previously commented on his desire to have a group of around 25 players available at Parkhead.
He stated: “Ideally, we’d have a squad of 25 players, 22 with three goalkeepers. In which case, there will also be an opportunity for young players to come through, as that’s always my first look.”
Of course, there will be room for the Bhoys to enter the market for a new stopper, taking into account the fact that Joe Hart has confirmed he will retire from professional football at the end of the season.
Speaking to Sky Sports News after the announcement, Rodgers confirmed that Scott Bain and Benjamin Siegrist could leave Parkhead this summer, signifying he may need to acquire more than one goalkeeper ahead of 2024/25.
Both men have been peripheral figures over the last few years, which could pave the way for a new set of individuals to work with Stevie Woods.

According to The Daily Record, Aberdeen are keen on Celtic goalkeeper Siegrist and have placed him on a list of targets ahead of the summer transfer window.
The 32-year-old is keen to get back to playing following a frustrating spell at Parkhead; meanwhile, the Therwil-born man saw a loan move to Sturm Graz collapse last month.
Kelle Roos is yet to put pen to paper on an extension at Pittodrie and his long-term future in the North East is uncertain, prompting the Dons to seek alternatives between the sticks.
Nevertheless, Siegrist has another three years on his Celtic contract, something likely to mean the Bhoys inherit some form of transfer fee for his services.

Unfortunately, Siegrist has been nothing more than a back-up for Celtic, and it would make sense for both parties to go their separate ways.
In his time at Parkhead, the former Dundee United man has made just two competitive appearances, keeping one clean sheet [Transfermarkt].
Aberdeen would be an ideal fit for the experienced stopper to get his career back on track while also enabling the Bhoys to obtain a sum of money for his services.
