Celtic youngster Kerr McInroy has moved to Dunfermline Athletic on a season-long loan and fans are excited to see him get regular action in the Scottish Championship.
The 20-year-old has been training regularly with Neil Lennon’s first-team squad recently and even got some minutes under his belt during pre-season.
However, there’s no room for him in the Bhoys midfield this season and he’ll now get the opportunity to shine in the second tier.
Dunfermline boss Stevie Crawford said of the signing to his club’s official website: “It is great that we have managed to get in Kerr McInroy from Celtic. He will be a welcome addition. He is very highly thought of, he has been away with Celtic over the pre season and he is a local lad who is very keen to come to Dunfermline as well.
“It says a lot that you have somebody who has been in and around the Celtic first team over the summer who wants to go out and play competitive football. He does come on the back of having an injury but he has recovered from that and Celtic see it as a good fit to get him out challenging to play Championship football.”
He’s already made an impact too, scoring two goals in a pre-season friendly against Spartans last night.
After suffering a bad injury that hampered his development, the former Reserves captain will hopefully have the backing of Crawford throughout 2020/21 and return to Celtic ready to make a push for the first-team.
It appears he already has plenty of admirers amongst the support.
When the clubs announced the loan deal yesterday fans took to social media to share their thoughts on the player and the temporary switch…
Delighted this is only a loan, all the best Kerr!

Cracking player. Was on the fringes of the Celtic first team before a bad injury. Holding mid but also possesses a fierce shot from distance. The Pars have won a watch getting this Bhoy.
