It’s unclear what kind of fee will be paid or what the structure of a potential deal will be, with money matters complicated in Russia at the moment due to their invasion of Ukraine.
Regardless, the signs are good that the Montenegro international is on his way to Celtic Park, further boosting the strong squad available to the manager.
Postecoglou is already blessed with talents such as Jota, Daizen Maeda, Liel Abada, Kyogo and Giorgos Giakoumakis but Haksabanovic rounds out those options nicely with other players such as James Forrest in reserve.
If the move goes through it will bring Celtic’s spend closer to £20m this summer, with deals already completed for Cameron Carter-Vickers, Jota, Alexandro Bernabei and others.
