Celtic defender Hatem Abd Elhamed looks all but certain to be leaving the club during the January transfer window.
As we discussed last week, the defender wants to return to Israel for family reasons.
His former club are now at the front of the queue for his signature.
The Scottish Sun reckon that Hapoel Be’er Sheva are leading the chase ahead of three more Israeli clubs.
Celtic are hoping to recoup the full £1.6m spent on the defender. The paper says that wealthy owner Alona Barkat could even personally finance the transfer.
Elhamed favours a permanent move rather than a loan, according to the report.
No loss for Celtic?
If Celtic manage to get out of this one without making a financial loss, in the middle of a pandemic, to a less-established club, then you really would have to credit the negotiation team at Celtic Park.
MORE CELTIC STORIES
The board have had their critics this season, and I’ve been one of them, but that’d be a great deal.
Elhamed has looked pretty good in spells, signing at Celtic Park last year.
However, his form has been very poor this season. Mistakes have cost us, dear, in some big matches.
His injury record is far from spotless too.

If the Israeli international recognises he needs a change of scenery then fair play to him.
All Celtic can do is ensure a replacement is found. We’ll definitely need another right-back.
