Celtic linked to former Monaco talent
Celtic are showing interest in Metz midfielder Kevin N’Doram, French outlet Homme du Match has reported this week.
Not a day goes by at the moment without a new name being linked with a move to the Hoops.
The agents of many players around the world are busy putting their clients in the shop window and Celtic, with their Champions League status and cash, aren’t a bad name to drop in the media!
That’s not to say what’s happened here, but at first glance, N’Doram feels like an unlikely fit for the Scottish champions.
N’Doram is coming off the back of a difficult season with Metz, who have been relegated to Ligue 2 following a dismal 31 points total in the top-flight.
As a result, player exits are likely and N’Doram is apparently one of them. Homme du Match report Celtic are keen and that it would take between £1.7m and £2.5m to sign him.
Kevin N’Doram to Celtic doesn’t seem likely
The 26-year-old has spent three years at Metz, but has only managed to make 47 appearances in all competitions.
This spell comes after breaking through at Monaco, where was a fringe player, albeit making Ligue 1 and Champions League appearances.
It feels likely that Ange Postecoglou will be looking for a midfielder playing in a more competitive environment, ready to make a step up a high week-to-week level, although we never rule out any transfer rumour.
The Celtic boss is already on the record stating his intentions to sign a central player following the exits of Tom Rogic and Nir Bitton.
If it’s not N’Doram, it’ll be another ball-winning midfielder.
