Celtic linked with Sporting Lisbon talent; potential upgrade on Ralston
Celtic have submitted an offer for Sporting CP defender Valentin Rosier, it has been reported.
Turkish journalist Ekrem Konur reported to his 118,000 followers on Twitter that the Bhoys are in the hunt for the Portuguese-based right back.
French side Marseille are also keen on Rosier. Sporting are looking for €7m, which equates roughly to £6m.

Who is Celtic target Valentin Rosier?
Rosier spent last season on loan at Besiktas, making 37 appearances in all competitions. It was an immensely productive season with Besiktas emerging as Turkish title and cup winners.
As well as playing for Sporting in the Portuguese top-flight and Europa League, he’s also featured regularly in Ligue 1 for Dijon.
The 24-year-old is also a former international teammate of Moussa Dembele and Olivier Ntcham. He starred frequently for the French U21 side throughout 2018.
On paper, this looks to be an exciting potential transfer.
It would certainly represent an upgrade on Anthony Ralston, who is said to be staying at the club for another year.
That contract news sparked concerns amongst supporters that the Bhoys weren’t in the market to strengthen at right-back. However, Ralston will surely play a back-up role at best.
Rosier appears to have the right profile. At the reported £6m he isn’t cheap, but Celtic still have real resources to spend in the transfer market this summer, especially on potential regulars.
