Celtic have agreed a fee with Greek club Aris FC for winger Luis Palma, it has been reported this afternoon.
Sky Sports journalist Anthony Joseph has stated that the Bhoys have negotiated a £3.5m fee for the Honduran international with Aris and that the club are now in the final stages of agreeing personal terms with the player on a four-year contract.
Palma is now due to complete that deal, have a work permit application processed and then travel to the UK for a medical and unveiling.
The 23-year-old has made 52 appearances in all competitions for the Greek club, scoring 17 goals and providing 11 more assists.
He’s primarily played as a left winger throughout his career but has also shown versatility to be deployed as a central striking option or attacking midfielder.
All going well, it looks like Palma will become Celtic’s seventh summer signing of the window after moves for Marco Tilio, Hynjun Yang, Hyeokkyu Kwon, Maik Nawrocki, Odin Thiago Holm and Gustaf Lagerbielke.
Celtic needed another left-sided attacking option following the departure of Jota and Palma will be arriving to immediately compete for a place in Brendan Rodgers’ starting eleven.

A number of clubs around Europe are said to have pursued Palma this summer but he’s chosen Celtic as his next destination and there will be excitement about what he can offer.
His transfer will hopefully kickstart a week of incomings, with the Bhoys still needing a number of quality options to ensure the manager has the depth needed for an all-competitions push this season.
In other news, Brendan Rodgers now seeing “outstanding” signs in Celtic training after difficult week.
