Celtic are in need of a right-back to replace the departed Mikael Lustig. With the Champions League qualifiers beginning in two weeks’ time, the Hoops need to move fast to get a player in.
However, one player who reportedly will not be signing for the Hoops is Kilmarnock right-back Stephen O’Donnell.
Reportedly ‘no move’ by Celtic
The Daily Record have revealed that there has been ‘no move’ for the Killie right-back by Celtic.
O’Donnell has had an excellent few seasons at Kilmarnock under former manager Steve Clarke. Despite his good form, for the moment it seems that he won’t be making the move to Celtic.
As for who will be the right-back that Celtic do sign, it remains to be seen who that will be. There have been a number of right-backs linked with the club.

FC Copenhagen’s Peter Ankersen and Sheffield United’s George Baldock are just two of the players that have been linked with the club.
Neil Lennon will want to get a new right-back in for games against FK Sarajevo in two weeks’ time. If one is not signed, Anthony Ralston could play in the fixtures. He is the only right-back at the club at the moment.
However, that situation cannot be allowed to last. Celtic need a new right-back in as soon as possible. If reports are correct though, it won’t be Stephen O’Donnell.
