Celtic are reportedly set to offer a highly-rated youth player the chance to impress at Celtic Park. The Scotsman report that the Hoops are offering Linfield’s Charlie Allen the chance to train at Lennoxtown.

The report goes on to say that a deal could be offered after he has finished his training with the Hoops. Tottenham are also reported to be interested in the player. However, Celtic hope that he will make the move to Glasgow

Despite being only 15, Allen made his league debut for Linfield last season. Manager David Healey revealed that Allan was named in the squad for Linfield’s Champions League clash with Rosenborg earlier this season.

Therefore, he looks to be a player with a very promising future. It is no surprise that Celtic are interested in the player, who is an attacking midfielder.

May be influenced by success of Hoops starlet

However, should the player join Celtic, it could be a few years before he gets near the Celtic first-team. Maybe the player will be influenced by the success of Karamoko Dembele. He is part of the Celtic first-team, even though he is only 16.

Allen will have to think about the decision he is set to make. It would be a big move going to another country at 15. However, if Celtic can persuade the player to join, he would be a welcome addition to the reserve squad and in the future the first-team squad.
