Celtic should consider making a loan move for a highly-regarded promising Premier League player. The player in question is Chelsea’s Ethan Ampadu.
The player has not went on Chelsea’s pre-season trip to Japan, as manager Frank Lampard revealed that they want the player to go on loan and get game time.
Lampard explains Ethan Ampadu s absent because he could be going on loan for the season. He is a big fan of the player and wanted to sign him on loan for Derby last season, so is hopeful he can play a lot of games somewhere this year.#CFCinJapan

Aston Villa are reportedly interested in the player. Celtic should be as well, as he can play at centre-back or defensive midfield.

Celtic will be looking for another centre-back, and Ampadu can fit the bill. As for being a defensive midfielder, there is no better player for Ampadu to learn from than Scott Brown.
Having versatile players in the squad is always a good thing. Celtic have not been afraid to gamble on taking youngsters on loan before. Daniel Arzani springs to mind for example.

At only 18, Ampadu is still at the beginning of his football career. However, a year at Celtic would do him, Celtic and Chelsea all a power of good.
Perhaps the only issue that could stop the player moving to Celtic may be a lack of regular game time. However, if the player is good enough there is a more than decent chance he can break into the Celtic team.
Buying a right-back should be at the top of Celtic’s transfer priorities at the moment. But a move for Ampadu should be high on the list too.
