Celtic’s summer transfer window wasn’t short on numbers.
Despite this, Brendan Rodgers made his dissatisfaction with the business clear due to a lack of first-team ready signings.
The arrivals of Shin Yamada and Hayato Inamura were clearly labelled as “club signings” by the Hoops boss, and both have seen very little first team action thus far, despite being in their mid-20s.
Fellow recruits Callum Osmand, Ross Doohan and Jahmai Simpson-Pusey have also not seen a senior minute.
But for one summer arrival, the opportunity to move away on loan has not been facilitated, despite a willingness from the club to do so.
Celtic man rejects loan move
The Hoops sent Sean McArdle out on loan on Wednesday, with the teenager joining Ben McPherson and Josh Clarke at Partick Thistle.
Also in the Scottish Championship are Kyle Ure, Jude Bonnar and Lenny Agbaire, who are currently at Ayr United being managed by Scott Brown.

And now, according to The Celtic Way, Callum Osmand has turned down the opportunity to join them in the second tier.
The report says that the club and Player Pathways Manager Shaun Maloney were keen on the transfer, and it was Osmand’s decision to turn it down.
The Welsh youth international is yet to make a senior matchday squad for the Hoops, with a plethora of strikers ahead of him in the pecking order.
He has however scored in both of his appearances for the B team – an experience which will be different for him in comparison with youth football in England.
What does Callum Osmand’s Celtic future hold?
Osmand’s decision could be motivated by a variety of factors – he may see an opportunity to break into the squad, despite that looking unlikely at the minute.
He could also see himself as above the level of the Championship – being one of the top scorers in the Premier League 2 could warrant a move to a higher level.
Despite an absence of competitive minutes, Osmand was given opportunities in pre-season friendlies against Estrela Amadora and Al-Ahli.
But the current situation can’t be optimal for his development, something surely has to give.
