Conflicting Dolberg to Celtic reports

Danish outlet Bold claim Celtic are set to sign Kasper Dolberg from Anderlecht on a four-year contract in a deal worth £8m.

However, that report was rubbished by Belgian and Scottish journalists, one of whom was the reliable Stephen McGowan of The Herald.

He states that Celtic are yet to agree a fee with Anderlecht and wages with Dolberg’s representatives.

Second Celtic bid for Tounekti rejected by Hammarby

Celtic’s improved second offer of £4.7m for Hammarby winger Sebastian Tounekti has been knocked back by the Swedish side.

Hammarby are holding out for around £6.25m for the Tunisian international, who only signed for his current club in February.

Adam Idah and Yang transfer latest

Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that Celtic will not sanction Adam Idah’s move to Swansea City until a replacement striker is guaranteed.

Idah was said to be undergoing a medical on Friday ahead of a switch south to the EFL Championship managed by Irishman Alan Sheehan.

Meanwhile, Rodgers understands why Yang would like a fresh challenge with Birmingham City bidding £1.5m for the South Korean winger.

Rodgers said: “There’s interest in Adam, but no one can leave here unless we get players in to replace. It’s as simple as that.

“There’s been negotiations and chat around it, but I have to have players in here before I can consider letting anyone go.

“I think for the likes of Yang, it’s been ongoing for Yang for a little while. I understand it.

“When you’re a player that’s probably been mostly used maybe as a squad player over a couple of years, there comes a point in time when you maybe want to move on and play.”
