A report claims that Celtic have made a move for Kilmarnock’s Greg Taylor – and that the Hoops will have to pay a steep price tag if they want to sign the left-back.
The Daily Record has revealed that the Hoops have been in touch with the Rugby Park side about signing the player, and that Kilmarnock want £3 million for the Scotland international.
Celtic not willing to pay steep asking price

The report goes on to reveal that the player is keen on the move, but Celtic are at the moment not willing to pay that sum, preparing to offer around £1 million and perhaps Jack Hendry on loan.
You can’t really blame Kilmarnock for wanting so much money for the player. After all, the Hoops do have £25 million to spend following the sale of Kieran Tierney.
“I don’t want to think about him going away”

The Rugby Park also seen keen to keep the player. Manager Angelo Alessio said, as reported by the Daily Record that “Greg is a good player in my team and I don’t want to think about him going away”.
£3 million is a lot to ask for though. Celtic would be wise not paying that amount of money. There is a good chance the clubs could reach a compromise for the player in the next few days.
Celtic will be hoping that is the case, as the Hoops need another left-back. If not though, they can always move on to other targets.
