Norwich City and Wolves have both reportedly made offers for Fares Ghedjemis.
The winger, intensely pursued by Celtic in January, stayed put at Frosinone to aid their push for promotion to Serie A.
Since then, his stock has only risen. He is now among Serie B’s top scorers, scoring both of his side’s goals in their 2-1 away win over Modena last weekend.
Plenty of clubs are in the race, but Celtic are reportedly at an advantage.
Is Fares Ghedjemis worth the £6.5m Celtic appear willing to pay?
Norwich and Wolves face hurdle in race for Celtic target Fares Ghedjemis
According to Gazzetta dello Sport via PressReader, both Wolves and Norwich have made offers of around €9 million for Ghedjemis.
Wolves’ relegation from the Premier League to the Championship has just been confirmed, while Phillippe Clement’s Canaries look to be out of the play-off race in the second tier.

The advantage for Celtic – whose offer in January was “very serious”, according to the report – is that the player doesn’t want to play in the Championship.
The worry is that Roma, Atalanta and Como are among the Serie A clubs reportedly interested. This could be too hard a financial battle for the Hoops.
It’s ironic that Como are in the market for Ghedjemis, a left-footed right-winger, given that he is of exactly the same profile as Nicolas Kuhn, whom they signed from Celtic last summer.
Just three games remain in Serie B this season, and Frosinone are in an extremely tight race for a top-two finish, which would guarantee promotion.
They currently sit third in the table, behind Monza on head-to-head and three points behind leaders Venezia.
Ghedjemis recently completed his international switch from France to Algeria, and will be hoping to audition well at this summer’s World Cup.
Unlike most cases, January wasn’t a case of Celtic not paying up for their target; his agent made it clear that the player wanted to stay.
A very tough move for Nicolas Kuhn… where do you stand on bringing him back in the summer?
Fares Ghedjemis’ agent on Celtic decision
Fabrizio Ferrari, the excellently-named agent of Ghedjemis, told Tuttomercato: “The renewal [with Frosinone]? It was an option already present in the contract signed with Frosinone that it was their right to exercise.
“The market rumours about him in January? He really wanted to finish the season with a promotion.
“This was the boy’s intention, with Frosinone then potentially monetising the operation in the summer.”
Ghedjemis scored on his debut for Algeria against Guatemala in March, and will face Argentina, Jordan and Austria in North America in Group J this summer.
