It seems that Celtic centre-back Jack Hendry could be on the move before the end of the transfer window. The Daily Record is reporting that both Kilmarnock and Motherwell are interested in signing the player.

That begs the question – could the Hoops use Kilmarnock’s interest in Hendry as a way to lure Greg Taylor to the club?

It is no secret that Celtic are looking for another left-back. Boli Bolingoli may have signed, but he hasn’t had the best of starts to his Hoops career.

Couple that with the fact that Kieran Tierney has yet to be replaced, then it is fair to say that a left-back will surely be brought in before the transfer window closes.

Taylor has been a player that has been linked with a move to Celtic. Perhaps a deal is there to made involving Celtic, Kilmarnock, Taylor and Hendry.

A good deal for all

Maybe a cash pus loan deal for Hendry would be acceptable for Kilmarnock to sell Taylor to the Hoops. That would be a good deal for all concerned.

Celtic would get the left-back they are after, Kilmarnock would get a fair sum of money for Taylor, and Hendry would be able to get regular first-team football.

With the transfer window closing in less than two weeks, any deal will need to be done soon. It will be interesting to see if the Hoops land Taylor, with Hendry moving in the opposite direction.
