Damir Redzic is set to have a medical as Celtic miss out on the Hungarian winger, it is being reported.
Redzic is one of several right-wingers to have been linked with Celtic this week, as Martin O’Neill has searched for some last-minute attacking reinforcements.
The 22-year-old has shone for Dunajska Streda this season, making his debut for the Hungarian national team in their dramatic 3-2 defeat to Ireland.
Celtic and other clubs have been in contact with the Slovakian club, who have played hardball over the transfer fee.
And the race is now seemingly over, with Redzic finally set to get his move.

When Redzic’s name was mentioned to O’Neill after Celtic’s 4-2 win over Utrecht, the Celtic boss said suggestions were “not a million miles away.”
Copenhagen and Olympiacos, champions of Denmark and Greece respectively, were also in the race for the Hungarian’s signature.
Celtic have been without the presence of a left-footed right-winger since the departure of Nicolas Kuhn ahead of this season.
They have now seemingly turned their attentions to Joel Mvuka, who is having a Celtic medical ahead of a £3 million move from Lorient.
Former Salzburg star Junior Adamu is also on his way to Glasgow, heading to the Hoops on loan from Freiburg.
O’Neill will just be hoping to keep a hold of Arne Engels, who is subject of interest from Nottingham Forest.
How many Celtic signings are you expecting on Deadline Day?
Martin O’Neill on incoming Celtic signings
Speaking about incoming signings after the Celtic’s 2-0 win over Falkirk, O’Neill said: “The first thing, we have Kelechi Iheanacho, who’s a very fine player and can hold the ball up I think.
“He’s played very, very little, but I think he can make an impact, he might not last the games and things like this.
“So we definitely needed someone strong in there, I think [Junior] Adamu can do that. I think there’s a little bit of pace with the young lad from Lorient, Mvuka.
“I think that it’ll give us a couple of options as much as anything else. The players, I think they deserve it. I think their efforts have been really, really big and I think you saw today for the number of games there’s just no respite for us and as a consequence players wouldn’t naturally feel tired.
“So this will help supplement the squad as I said, and there might be, hopefully, there’s a possibility of other things happening between now and tomorrow at 11 o’clock.”
