One of the most unlikely transfer stories of the summer could be about to unfold. It involves former Rangers player Liam Burt.
The midfielder was released by Rangers last month. However, it was revealed that the player was spotted driving into Celtic’s Lennoxtown training ground on Friday.
Deleted farewell message

Now the Scottish Sun is reporting that the player has deleted a farewell message that he had sent on social media to the Rangers support.
Interestingly, the report also reveals that Burt played as a youth player at Celtic before making the move to Ibrox. It would certainly be an interesting move by the player.

Do Celtic need another midfielder?
Although it has to be said, do Celtic really need another midfielder? The Hoops have many players who can play that position, soon that will include David Turnbull.

Perhaps he is just using Celtic’s training facilities, as a former youth player at the club. However, in the next dew days we could find out more about any potential move for Burt by Celtic.
If the player is invited to Celtic’s pre-season tour to Austria, then there really could be a chance that he could be joining Celtic. Neil Lennon could take a look at the player in training, and decide if he is worth making a move for. Maybe he could even play in a pre-season friendly.
For now though, all there seems to be is speculation.
