Does anyone know what Efe Ambrose is doing these days? There’s going to be a Celtic reunion on Saturday, but it’s not in Glasgow.

Neil Lennon’s Dunfermline Athletic will take on Scott Brown’s Ayr United at Somerset Park in a crucial Championship encounter.

But to add that extra spice and entertainment to proceedings, Dunfermline have gone and signed Victor Wanyama, as he reunites with his former Celtic boss.

Wanyama was in the MLS playing for CF Montreal, after joining the club in 2020 from Tottenham Hotspur, and now, at the age of 33, he is back in Scotland.

The hard-hitting midfielder was a very popular player during his days in Celtic colours, winning three trophies during his two-year spell, before he headed to the Premier League and made a name for himself in English football.

And, when Dunfermline announced Wanyama’s signing, it was simply brilliant, and it had a bit of a Celtic theme to it.

Dunfermline Athletic’s Celtic-themed reaction to Victor Wanyama signing

Back in the good old days of social media, if there ever was such a thing, Wanyama posted a few tweets that got people talking, and they have since become legendary.

In 2012, whilst playing for Celtic, the Kenya international posted the following and quite brilliant message on his socials that is still talked about today.

‘I had spaghetti and it was very nice I enjoyed it,’ wrote Wanyama in May 2012.

So, in typical style, to tease Wanyama’s signing, Dunfermline proceeded to start with that very message and it instantly drew a reaction.

It already has 10k+ likes, and Celtic fans are loving it, but the relegation-threatened side didn’t just stop there.

Dunfermline relive Wanyama’s famous goal for Celtic against Barcelona

Celtic’s famous Champions League win over Barcelona in 2012 is still remembered and talked about today.

Tony Watt scored what turned out to be the winning goal, but it was Wanyama who opened the scoring with a bullet header.

And, in Dunfermline’s welcome video to Wanyama, they made sure to include that goal.

But, at the same time, a few legendary Celtic figures will be in Ayr, from Scott Brown, Neil Lennon and Wanyama himself, so it will be worth keeping an eye on what happens!
