One of the interesting moves on the final day of the summer transfer window involves Celtic midfielder Ewan Henderson.
The player moved to Ross County on loan for the rest of the season. The move will be a good one for the player, as he has not featured for the Hoops so far this season.
Henderson did well for Celtic when he featured last season, he had three assists for the Hoops. Now he has the chance to play every week for a team that is battling to stay in the league.
Move can be the making of the player

The move makes sense not only for the player, but for Celtic. It could be the making of Henderson as a player. A loan move to a Premiership side worked out for two of Celtic’s current mainstays. Both Kristoffer Ajer and Ryan Christie benefited from full seasons of football away from Celtic Park.
Ajer spent a season on loan at Kilmarnock, where he was a first-team regular. Christie spent 18 months on loan at Aberdeen, where he was one of their most important players.
The same could happen with Henderson. Should he impress with Ross County this season, it could reap dividends for the player when he makes his return to Celtic Park.
Will need to work hard to make breakthrough

That does not mean that he will be guaranteed first-team football. It will still be tough for Henderson to land a place in the side. The Hoops do have plenty of attacking players.
However, a regular season of football can only help with the player’s development. Neil Lennon cannot guarantee the player the games he needs that will help him further his game. Hopefully Ross County can.
The move seems like a win for all the parties involved. The player will get regular game time. Ross County will get a player who is one of Celtic’s best young prospect. The player will helpfully return to Celtic in a year’s time ready to make a claim for first-team football.
