The interest in Rocco Vata is stepping up and there now seems to be every chance he leaves Celtic and goes on to possibly work under legendary midfielder, Cesc Fabregas.

The January transfer window is at the halfway stage and there haven’t really been any major movements from the club, in terms of confirmed ones.

Rapid Vienna winger Nicolas Kuhn looks close to signing, but new faces coming in would also require others heading for the exit door.

Fabrizio Romano has shared on Twitter that there is now more interest in Rocco Vata from Italy, after Bologna recently expressed that they were keen.

Serie B side Como FC, who have Cesc Fabregas on their coaching staff after he was briefly their first-team manager, have approached Celtic for Rocco Vata’s signature.

The 18-year-old’s contract expires in less than six months and he can sign a pre-contract agreement with a foreign club and then join them in the summer.

Of course, it would be better if Celtic penned him down to a new deal, but that doesn’t seem likely for a player with four appearances for the club, but none under Brendan Rodgers.

Celtic returning to action

The Bhoys will be back in action pretty soon and it’s a Scottish Cup tie against Buckie Thistle on Sunday.

Their manager Graeme Stewart has shared his thoughts ahead of the match and what he has told his players about Celtic.

It will be a game that will transform Scotland’s Highland Football League side because of the exposure and finances they will get from it.

But it’s a chance for the Celtic players to get their engines going again and restart what is now going to be a very important few months for the club.
