Celtic’s pursuit of Kilmarnock’s Greg Taylor has reportedly taken another twist. The Daily Record is reporting that both Celtic and League One side Sunderland have submitted bids for the player.
The report does not indicate if either side have met Kilmarnock’s £3 million asking price yet, but the player has ‘made it clear’ that he wants to talk to both Celtic and Sunderland.
Movement on deal before trip to Sweden?

It will be interesting to see if there is any movement on the deal before Celtic face AIK in the Europa League on Thursday.
Neil Lennon will no doubt be asked about the deal, his answers could be telling. The Hoops will want to get any deal done for the player as quickly as possible.
This is especially true if they want to get Taylor signed in time for Sunday’s Glasgow derby against Rangers. However, Kilmarnock could well be holding out for the £3 million that they want.
Don’t want to miss out on player who could be mainstay

If that is the case, Celtic really should pay the money that Kilmarnock are looking for. They don’t want to miss out on a player who could be the first choice left-back at the club for years to come.
They have already spent relatively big this summer on defenders with Christopher Jullien and Boli Bolingoli’s arrivals in the summer.
There is no reason for the Hoops not to do it again in the case of Taylor. Hopefully the player ends up at Celtic Park sooner rather than later.
