Hearts are now eyeing Falkirk’s Calvin Miller after a move to Celtic didn’t happen in January.
Miller, a Hoops academy product who made four senior appearances for the club, has enjoyed the best season of his career for the Bairns this season.
Operating as a winger on both sides, he racked up seven goals and nine assists as John McGlynn’s side secured a top-six finish in their first campaign since promotion.
After catching the attention of Celtic in January, he is now a target for the second best team in Scotland.

Hoops academy product Miller was a highly-rated prospect a decade ago, converted by Brendan Rodgers from a striker into a left-back.
Once he left permanently, he spent a few years bouncing around the lower divisions in England and Scotland, before joining League One Falkirk in 2022.
McGlynn has allowed him to flourish as a wide forward as a key part of their back-to-back promotions into the top-flight.
Speaking on the Go Radio Football Show, Charlie Mulgrew said of Celtic’s interest in Miller: “I know that Celtic were trying to get Calvin Miller. He thought he was in the door.
“His agent got a call two days before, saying that it’s ready to be done, they want him, and he was delighted to go back to Celtic.
“8.30pm on the night of the window, it was done – obviously Celtic had plates spinning the way players do.
“I don’t know where he was [in that pecking order], whether he was second choice, and he thought he was getting a dream move back to Celtic and it didn’t happen.
“He got told at 8.30pm that the deal is off, so it happens both ways. That’s why these things drag out.”
