It’s going to be a busy summer transfer window for Celtic.
You could argue that the best piece of business Celtic could conduct is keeping hold of star man, Daizen Maeda.
The 27-year-old has produced the best season of his career, including scoring four Champions League goals and 33 overall.
And now, the Premier League clubs are knocking on the door for his services, including the likes of West Ham United, Crystal Palace and Leeds United.
The issue Celtic have is the fact that Premier League money talks, as was proven when Matt O’Riley joined Brighton last summer for £25 million.
So, if those interested parties put money on the table, then the powers that be at Celtic Park will have no choice, but to open the door and listen.

West Ham United and Crystal Palace’s transfer interest in Celtic forward Daizen Maeda
It has been suggested that five English clubs have joined the race for Maeda’s services, with Celtic ‘aware’ of their player’s ‘stock rising’, as reported by Caught Offside.
Fulham, Brentford, Crystal Palace, West Ham United and Leeds United are the teams suggested to be keen on the Japan international.
It is said that Celtic have placed a ‘£25 million’ price tag on their star man’s head and that valuation has ‘not deterred Premier League sides’.
Caught Offside also suggest that the attention of the Premier League teams could ‘convince the player’ to make a move to England.
Maeda’s Celtic season in numbers
If Celtic keep Maeda on board, then it would be one of the biggest stories from Celtic’s summer window and a big plus for the next campaign.
It needs to be remembered that Celtic progressed in the Champions League this season, and if they want to continue down that road, then Maeda needs to stay.
Celtic already need to sign a striker following Kyogo Furuhashi’s January exit, so another added problem doesn’t need to be put on the table.
| Maeda’s Games | Goals | Assists | Man of the Match |
