‘Irreplaceable’, ‘brilliant’ – some Celtic fans hope Scott Sinclair isn’t sold

Scott Sinclair’s time at Celtic may be coming to an end after three successful seasons. The Evening Times are reporting that Preston North End are considering a £2.5 million bid for the Hoops winger.

As yet no bid has been made for Sinclair. The Lancashire Evening Post reported that Preston tried to sign Sinclair on loan. Celtic did not agree to that deal though.

However, should one concrete bid be made, Neil Lennon would have an interesting decision to make.

Unsurprisingly, Sinclair’s future at Celtic has been the topic of conversation on social media. One fan claimed that selling Sinclair would be a ‘massive mistake’.

Here are some of the best reactions from social media to the rumours about Sinclair moving to Preston:

The fact that Sinclair has rarely started under Neil Lennon would perhaps cast doubt on his Celtic future.

Difficult to replace goals scored by player

It would be quite difficult for the Hoops to replace his goals. In his three seasons at Celtic Sinclair has hit double figures for the club.

Should Sinclair be sold, Celtic must feel that they have enough attacking players at the club to make up for the shortfall of goals.

Or perhaps the Hoops would spend big in the transfer market to sign a replacement. Judging by the comments on social media though, some fans at least don’t want Sinclair to leave.
