The Bees are due to take on Fulham in tomorrow’s Championship Play-Off Final and could be on their way to the Premier League.
As we discussed yesterday, that could be a critical event in determining the future of Toney, who is said to favour a move to Celtic if they miss out and vice versa.

If Brentford are indeed close to agreeing on a fee though, clearly they are in pole position for his signature, especially with the Bhoys’ most recent offer being kicked into touch.
Toney had an electric season in League One last term, netting an impressive 24 league goals and adding two more in the FA Cup.
With seven assists to his name too, it’s fair to say he could make an attacking impact in the Scottish Premiership.

However, Leigh Griffiths and Vakoun Bayo have plenty to prove and in a season that has the potential to be one of the biggest in the club’s history, no chances can be taken when it comes to firepower.

Looking from afar, I reckon this Toney saga has plenty of twists and turns yet.
Never count Celtic out, even in the transfer market where we are traditionally frugal.
The next few days will be worth keeping an eye on when it comes to this potential deal.
