John Hartson played down the suggestion of AC Milan possibly wanting to sign Celtic midfielder, David Turnbull.
The 24-year-old is out of contract at Celtic next summer and many are questioning if he will stay in Glasgow or move elsewhere.
The issue for David Turnbull is that he isn’t a regular starter under Brendan Rodgers and that was touched upon by John Hartson when discussing his future, as he told Go Radio.
Bearing that in mind, John Hartson can’t understand why a team the calibre of the Italian giants, AC Milan, would want to sign the goalscoring midfielder.
On his day, he is a top, top-quality performer and a goalscorer. Something which is very hard to find.
But perhaps David Turnbull’s agent is putting in some work in the background and making things sound much better than they are.
That’s what John Hartson feels anyway, as he spoke about David Turnbull’s quality from the middle of the park.
Will David Turnbull leave Celtic?
“I can’t see him (going to AC Milan),” said Hartson. “He can’t get into the Celtic team. That’s his agent working very hard to get his name around.
“I like David Turnbull. I have always said it. He is a goalscoring midfield player. He adds that 12-14 goals from midfield.
“But you are looking at AC Milan, giants of Europe and they have been in recent years. Giroud up top for them.
“For me, no. I think somebody is putting his name out there. I don’t think AC Milan are looking personally.”

David Turnbull’s performances at Celtic
When Celtic first signed Turnbull from Motherwell, you could see why. He had a great knack for scoring goals from midfield and brilliant composure in the final third.
During his early years at Parkhead, the five-cap Scotland star just couldn’t get going.
And whilst he has shown promise and strong performances in Celtic colours, it’s fair to say that he just hasn’t taken it up to the levels many expected or showcased that consistency.
