Liam Burt seems understandably delighted at signing for Celtic. The midfielder recently penned a two-year deal with the Hoops.
Now he has taken to his Instagram account to reveal his joy at joining the Scottish champions. “Back home” was his two word verdict on signing for the Hoops.

That is a reference to the fact that even though he recently played for Rangers’ reserve team, he did play youth football at Celtic before that.
With that being the case, Burt will be eager to prove to Celtic that they were wrong to release him first time around.

That could motivate Burt to turn in a series of performance that will enable him to win a place in the Hoops’ first-team squad.
Will be playing reserve football on a regular basis
At the moment he will be playing with the Hoops’ reserve squad. That gives him time to bed himself into that squad, and try to play regular reserve football.

Should Burt impress whilst playing reserve football, then Neil Lennon could be tempted to give him a chance in the first-team squad.
That is still a ways away yet. However, the player seems determined to make it work in his second time around at Celtic.
Only time will tell if he is able to make a success of his Celtic career. All at the club will be hoping that he does.
