Dundee United manager Tam Courts reckons there is still a chance Jeando Fuchs could stay at Tannadice despite interest from clubs such as Celtic and Rangers.
Fuchs gave an interesting set of comments to FootMercato over the weekend suggesting that the Bhoys had made contact regarding a pre-contract signing. His current deal on Tayside is up in May meaning teams are free to negotiate.
However, Courts has talked up his close relationship with the player, telling The Dundee Courier: “Even from Jeando’s performance today you can see he is a top player not just for us but in this league.

“I have always gone on record as saying if any players, particularly top-performing ones, have aspirations to get to the top level then the types of club you mentioned will naturally be interested.
“Jeando is a very focused guy and our relationship is really strong. He likes to do his talking on the pitch so there is not much more I can say on that.”
Fuchs impressed at Celtic Park earlier this season in a 1-1 draw and has been one of the notable players in the Scottish Premiership outside of the top two teams.
On a free transfer, it’s an interesting prospect for Celtic and Ange Postecoglou. The squad is in need of more midfield depth, especially on the defensive side. Callum McGregor is an elite talent but isn’t indestructible.
With James McCarthy’s start at Celtic struggling to impress supporters and Ismaila Soro now something of a distant fringe player, perhaps a signing such as this makes sense. If not, we could well find he becomes a decent signing for one of our rivals.
